Baked Oatmeal CustardIngredients: 1 cup 1/2 & 1/2 4 eggs 1/2 cup maple syrup a dash of salt 1/2 cup quick oats 1/4 cup chopped dried cranberries 1/2 tsp orange oil 1/2 tsp nutmeg Directions: Preheat oven to 375' Butter 4 custard cups Put a shallow baking dish, large enough to hold the cups, in the oven. Fill it halfway with hot water. Beat the half & half, eggs, salt, numbeg and orange oil together in a bowl. Stir in the oats and cranberries. Place the filled cups in the water in the oven. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until the custard is barely set. Run a knife around the edges and turn onto a plate or serve in the cup. "Not complete" Recipe sounds good but what do you do with the 1/2 cup maple syrup?? No mention of it in the directions. Would love to give this recipe a 5 but need to fix instructions first so I can try it. "Please help" Yeah he is right do I add the maple syrup to the mix or does it go on after the custard are done and you are about to servr it. Bought all the stuff but can't make it now!
