Americus Georgia Pecan TartsFiled under: Baked Goods, Baked Goods - Tarts, Cookies & Candies, Holiday, Nuts, Nuts - Pecan, Romantic Recipes. ![]() Description: Everyone loves pecan pie, especially when it is made with freshly harvested Georgia pecans! These bite size pecan tarts are the perfect choice for your family and friends to enjoy this year's bountiful crop of pecans. They are absolutely fabulous. Ingredients: 1/2 cup softened butter 1 3-oz. pkg. cream cheese softened 1 cup flour 1 egg 3/4 cup brown sugar 1 TBS melted butter 1 tsp vanilla 1 TBS light corn syrup 1/2 cup chopped pecans + 24 small pecan halves (optional) Directions: In a small mixing bowl, combine butter & cream cheese. Stir in flour. Cover & chill about 1 hour or until easy to handle. Shape into 1-inch balls. Press onto bottom & up sides of ungreased mini muffin pan. For filling: Combine together egg, sugar, melted butter, corn syrup and vanilla. Stir in chopped pecans. Fill each tart shell with 1 rounded tsp. filling. Do not overfill. Top with 1 pecan half, if desired. Bake in a 325 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until done. Tops will look dry and tart crust will be golden brown. Cool slightly in pan. Use a sharp knife around the edges to loosen, then carefully remove from pan. Cool completely on wire rack. ENJOY!
