Sour Cream Apple Pie

Award winning pie created by our pastry chef Mary Reyes

Ingredients:
Topping: 2/3 cup brown sugar, 2/3 cup flour, 2 tsp. cinnamon, 1/4 cup soft butter
Filling: 4 TBS flour, 1/4 tsp salt, 2 1/2 cups sugar, 2 eggs, 2 cups sour cream, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1/2 tsp nutmeg, 6 medium apples (granny smith work the best), peeled and shredded

Directions:
Combine the filling and place in a deep dish 10" pie shell.* Bake the pie at 400 for 15 minutes and then at 350 for 35 minutes or until firm.

Place topping on pie and return to 400 degree oven for 10 minutes.

*for smaller pie shell reduce recipe by 1/3
