Cherry Blossom Cookies


Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1cup butter
1/3 cup whipping cream
1 1/2 teaspoons cherry extract
Red food coloring
granulated sugar

Directions:
Combine flour, butter, whipping cream,extract and food coloring and beat until soft dough forms.  Divide dough into thirds and chill. On well floured surface roll 1/3 of the dough to 1/8
inch thickness. Using cookie cutter cut shaped-dip both sides in sugar.
Place 2 inches apart on non-greased cookie sheet. Prick top of each cookie.
Bake for 5-8 minutes at 375 degrees. Frosting/Filling optional---powdered
sugar, butter, whip cream, grated lemon peel.
