Candied Cherry SlicesDescription: Great Christmas cookie, this freezes well and is always a big hit. Ingredients: 1 cup butter 1 cup powdered sugar 1 unbeaten egg 1 tsp vanilla 2 1/4 cups flour 1 cup chopped nuts 2 cups green or red candied cherries cut in half Directions: Cream butter and sugar, blend in egg and vanilla. Add flour and mix well. Fold in nuts and candied cherries. Divide dough into 3 romms, wrap in waxed paper or plastic wrap. Chill 3 hr. or overnight. Cut rolls into 1/4 slices. Bake at 325 for 13-15 minutes. These freeze well.
