This stunning, Greek Revival manor has been lovingly restored to feature many of the home's extravagant original touches, including 14-foot ceilings fitted with banded cornices and exuberant medallions; carved, black marble mantels; chandeliers and heart-of-pine floors. The innkeepers' restoration efforts were honored by the New Orleans Historic District Landmarks Commission. The elegant rooms are delightful, and guests will enjoy investigating the many wonderful antiques found throughout the home. The gardens include walkways and terraces constructed from pink Belgian flagstones found on the site.Publicity and Awards: Times Picayune, Dixie, Traditional Homes, Newsday., Candyman II and Delta Heat both used the Benachi House for filming.
