Circa 1818. This antebellum mansion is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The inn features elegantly carved woodwork, stained glass, yellow poplar and ash floors, a grand entrance foyer and spiral staircase. There is a lookout on top of the house. Completely restored original 1900 sq. ft. plantation home is a separate Bourbon Manor Cottage. For a step back to the early 1800's (with modern conveniences), and a very private experience! Historic Interest

2 Southern Plantation Homes (circa 1818 and 1828), which were part of a 3000 acre tobacco plantation to one of the founding families of Bardstown, by the name of Bealmer. The property was occupied by General William J Hardee of the Confederate Army as headquarters & look-out station during the American Civil War. It was later used as a Boarding House during the Great Depression. It has served as home to many prominent Bardstown residents for over 200 years. It has been operating as an award-winning B&B for over 30 years.
