Description

Circa 1910. This three-story Colonial Revival was built by Samuel Gebhart, who not only founded a town newspaper, but also served as a mayor and councilman. The innkeeper painstakingly restored the three-story manor, which is the only property in Pratt listed in both the state and national historic registers. William Jennings Bryan was once a guest here. Family heirlooms and antiques are the furnishings that decorate the interior, giving the home a nostalgic atmosphere. However, two of the rooms include the modern amenity of a whirlpool tub. Stuffed French toast or a frittata are among the breakfast specialties, served along with freshly ground coffee, fruit and homemade muffins or breads.Publicity and Awards: Pratt Tribune, Wichita Eagle.Location: Small town.
