Description

Circa 1911. Enjoy the elegance of a classically restored early-nineteenth century residence alongside the vibrancy of a college campus. The work of Frank Lloyd Wright influenced the Prairie School style building that once served as a three-flat apartment building. Three large suites are waiting to help you relax after a stroll along the lakeside path or a day of shopping on nearby Monroe Street. The second-floor Varsity Suite boasts a gas fireplace, an all-season porch, a king bed, and a corner air-jet tub. The first-floor Mendota Suite is specifically designed to accommodate those with physical disabilities while featuring relaxing marine blue walls, a queen bed, and a roll-in shower. Lastly, sleep well on the king bed amidst the soothing soft-green walls of the University Suite. Seasonal local ingredients are highlighted in the sweet and savory breakfast offerings each morning. Guests have free access to WiFi, in-room refrigerators, and Madisonís bike sharing program.Publicity and Awards: http://isthmus.com/arts/emphasis/buckingham-inn-madison-bnb/ http://pubs.royle.com/publication/?i=257186&p=64 http://roadstraveled.com/lodging/lovely-lodging-of-2015-from-midwest-spa-farm-to-historic-cusco-hotel/, http://www.nbc15.com/home/headlines/New-bed-and-breakfast-opens-near-Camp-Randall-298117461.html.Location: City/Urban, University campus and historic neighborhood.
