Historic Interest
The inn was built in 1810 by a French sea captain, Joseph Juliand. Frederick Juliand, the captain's youngest son, was a NY State senator during the Civil War. There are several documented accounts of Mr. Juliand relating to the Greene area and the Civil War. Historic sites nearby: A National Cemetery burial site of over 2,000 Confederate solders.
