Circa 1905. Originally a stagecoach stop, this historic Colorado inn is open from May to November. The ambiance is a friendly and relaxing mountain lodge in Drake Community near Estes Park. Rocky Mountain National Park, Big Thompson Canyon and the river provide picturesque scenery and adventurous activities. Go fly fishing, bike riding, hiking the trails and river rafting. Two nearby stables offer horseback riding. Complimentary soup and biscuits are provided most evenings and special lodge packages are available that include dinner in the restaurant. Visit with new friends in the Western Bar or the Beer Garden and enjoy listening to the assortment of musicians during Friday night open mike. Play cards in the lounge or watch a movie. After a restful sleep in one of the inviting guest rooms, breakfast is served each morning.
