Description

Circa 1944. Experience the spirit of Aloha while staying in downtown Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii. Restored to create a comfortable guest hideaway, this second-story inn was newly renovated and is located upstairs from the Hilo Guitars and Ukuleles Shop, owned by Ken, the inn proprietor. Kojiís Diner is a local landmark also on the ground floor. The inn is opposite Wailoa State Park and adjacent to the Farmerís Market. A nearby surf shop conveniently offers rentals. Most of the pet- and child-friendly guest rooms have a refrigerator and microwave. Several have a kitchenette and one boasts a clawfoot tub. Enjoy ocean, mountain and park views at this tropical sanctuary that reflects classic Hawaii. This side of the island is a lush rainforest. Visit local museums, waterfalls and the Volcanoes National Park. Take a day trip to Kona.Location: City/Urban and Ocean Community.
