Circa 1759. Originally a settler's log cabin built in 1759, Slocum House Inn has been expanded with stone additions and spans 25 picturesque acres in Gardners, Pennsylvania just north of historic Gettysburg. The Williamsburg-style décor and furnishings feature antiques and reproductions. Relax in the Common Room with a library, VCR and complimentary beverages. Swim in the pool and stroll along the gardens or by the pond. Guest bedrooms in the main house and cottages are named after General Slocum and his Division Generals. Two adjoining rooms can be combined as a suite. A bountiful gourmet breakfast is served in the dining room. Minimum Stay Requirements: Minimum 2-night stays on special weekends. Cancellation: Reservations are secured with a 50% deposit. Credit cards are not accepted but personal checks are. Deposit is creditable to a future stay if cancellation is made 14 days in advance. If cancellation is within 13 days or less, deposit is forfeited. Pets: No pets allowed. Smoking: Outside Only.

The Inn derives its name from Henry Warner Slocum a Union General in the Civil War who contributed to the defeat of the Confederate Army at Gettysburg.
