Historic Interest
The Harrisville Inn was build by Persia Beal in 1842 and was originally a sheep farm to supply the local woolen mills. It has been the farm for the nearby Aldworth Mansion and the first woman doctor is said to have resided here. Historic Awards: City Historical Site (Granted). Historic sites nearby: Harrisville village, the only entire village to be listed on the national historic register besides Williamsburg (1/2 mile walk), Peterborough (15 minutes)
