Description

Circa 1886. First existing as a splendid Victorian home, then an office building, this historic bed and breakfast has been lovingly restored to provide comfort and full service. Sitting on half an acre, it boasts flower gardens and a small vegetable garden. Gather in one of the many common rooms. The parlor and large sitting room has access to a family room with a television. Choose from an assortment of CDs to listen to in the Music Room or select a board game to play in the Game Room. Stay in the spacious Master Richard's Room with a whirlpool bath. A tub room includes a two-person whirlpool that is shared by some rooms. After a bountiful country breakfast ride a bike to explore the area.Location: Country, Mountains and Penn State University.

Historic Interest

The builder, Charles McCafferty, built most of Bellefonte's Victorian homes as well as Bellefonte's historical Brockerhoff Hotel. He built the McCafferty House for his personal use. He was a decendant of the founders of Bellefonte. The house is in the Bellefonte Historical District.
