Circa 1811. Celebrate traditional and contemporary New England at this rambling 17-room Federal estate on two acres that was built in 1811 by master craftsmen and recently renovated. Guest bedrooms and suites are named and furnished to reflect a local historic area or person. Sleep on a four-poster, brass or sleigh bed. Several rooms boast working fireplaces. Romantic Interest

Start with a quiet country location, breakfast in our Sun Room in summer or Great Room in winter, self-service teas and coffees, afternoon cookies and a luxury suite with two-person whirlpool. Add our recommendations for a romantic dinner at a farm-to-table restaurant, perhaps flowers or a fruit basket in the room when you arrive and you've got a perfect venue for anniversaries and special birthdays.
