Circa 1929. The cabin offers accommodations for two to five people looking to escape for a restful retreat. Two suites boast privacy, a California king bed, and a jetted or a soaking tub; couples may opt to reserve only the Sunset Suite. The spacious great room features hardwood floors, a wood stove, and doors that open to the screened porch. A bed and breakfast on the guests' schedule, the cabin is stocked with eggs, juice, breads, and coffee for people to cook their first breakfast at their leisure in the large kitchen. If the views of the peaks of the Cuyamacas and the islands off the coast inspire creativity, retreat to the loft to use the easel.Publicity and Awards: Video tour by Southern California Safari, 2017, COX cable channels.Location: Mountains.

Historic Interest

The Big Cat Cabin is one of the two original cabins in this 1911 subdivision, probably designed by Richard Requa in the 20's. We purchased it from the original owners. It is a classic example of the cabins of the Craftsman period in San Diego County.

Romantic Interest

Privacy and quiet surround you, there is a feeling of peace and wellness, at least that is what our guests say. If romance is one of your desires, the cabins will make it easier to attain.
