Circa 1774. The oldest house in Bennington Village presents old world charm, modern amenities, a convenient location, and a bit of night life. The café is open to the public on weekend evenings allowing for social energy and opportunities; guests of the inn may choose a complimentary martini or dessert from the extensive list. Beer and wine are served with cheese, fruit, and crackers all other nights of the week. Three richly-appointed guest rooms offer queen-size beds, hardwood floors, comfortable seating, and private bathrooms. Modern touches include cable television, air conditioning, and free wireless Internet. The cozy parlor features dark wood paneling and a fireplace whereas the contrasting enclosed porch is filled with sunlight streaming through spacious windows. As an inn that focuses more on appetizers and aperitifs than morning meals, continental breakfast baskets are available for a small extra fee.
