Historic Interest

Built in 1882 and commissioned by the Drew family The Painted Lady has a classic exterior featuring multiple gables, brilliant shingles, windowed turret, and a welcoming entry finished with a myriad of multi-faceted Victorian nuances. The Abbey is a grand structure and once former Catholic Church was de-sanctified and segregated ingeniously and imaginatively into dining and lodging spaces. Guests and dining patrons enter into a soaring space, Inn keeper Christopher Wilson salvaged nearly every piece of architectural "gewgaw" and put them to their highest and best uses. The Village house was built circa 1830. This charming Federal style building has been completely renovated to be a pristine residence with seven comfortable rooms offering amenities for relaxation.
