Description
Circa 1898. Continuously operating since built by German craftsmen in 1898, this hotel sits in downtown's historic district. It was made with beige-colored brick exterior and tall ceilings of cypress milled from the banks of the Guadalupe River. A renovated Feed Store, stable and the Joseph Klein House are also on the grounds. The floor of the old Comal County jail was used for some of the courtyard and stone patio with an outdoor fireplace. Relax on the front porch, upstairs balcony or in the parlor with refreshments. Stay in a spacious guest bedroom or luxury suite with antique furnishings and original ornate light fixtures. Second-floor rooms are named for the 1940s patterned wallpapers. Gather for a scrumptious country breakfast in the dining room. A Great Escape Bath Haus Spa is in the carriage house. Music and entertainment is offered at the Uptown Piano Bar, downstairs in the inn.Publicity and Awards: The Outlook Magazine, National Geographic Travel Magazine, New Braunfels Herald Zeitung News, Houston Chronicle, Texas Magazine, San Antonio Express News, Texas Highways Magazine, Southern Living Magazine, Dallas Morning News.Location: City/Urban and Downtown historic district.

Historic Interest
Since being built in 1898, very little change has occurred in the Inn. Most of the antiques, light fixtures, and hardware are original. The outside of the building has never been altered. The Inn provides many historians a grand picture of what it was like back in the late 1890s. Historic Awards: National Register (Granted), State Register (Granted), Local Register (Granted), National Historical Site (Granted), State Historical Site (Granted) and City Historical Site (Granted). Romantic Interest
A visit to Prince Solms Inn is like stepping back in time to the late Victorian era when the Inn was built - a time of romance and innocence. Many couples stay here for their honeymoon and return every year for their anniversary.
