Circa 1899. The waves in Monterey Bay lap at the shores of the four-building serene retreat steeped in history. Antique furnishings and classic MGs on display lend a sense of the regal wealth of old. Guest rooms boast the romance of wood-burning fireplaces, the relaxation of claw foot tubs, and the comfort of terry bathrobes. Signature dishes such as ginger-apple crepes or roasted tomato tarts are prepared by the full-time chef and served Victorian style each morning. Winemaker Dinners offer an opportunity to sample five to seven wines paired with a custom menu and wine notes presented by the winemaker. The Game Room features an 1880's pool table, the Library boasts over 1,000 books and magazines, and the Ocean View Sitting Rooms have incomparable views.
