Circa 1910. Original oak paneling, leaded and stained glass are among the architectural highlights at this smoke-free inn that graces the historic district near the Capitol Complex. On the 2nd floor. Antique walnut Victorian high-back Queen bed and large desk for working. Decorated in hunter green and burgundy. Room is detailed with floor-to-ceiling walnut wainscoting, Greek & Italian marble baseboards and a marble bathroom with a shower.

The Victorian Rose
On the 2nd floor, this room has an elegant hand-carved Victorian high-back Queen bed. Rose fabric and lace surrounds an antique clawfoot tub with shower on a platform in the room. The desk in this room is an antique Victorian desk. Romantic favorite for weddings, anniversaries & birthdays.

The Bauer Room

The Capitol Queen Room
On the 2nd floor, this room celebrates our exquisite State Capitol, featuring framed photographs by locally owned Gold Dome Photography. The four poster queen bed has a hand crocheted canopy. The desk is large and the room has wood floors. The private, separate bathroom is the original bathroom to the house and features the original tile crafted in West Virginia and the original cast iron tub, shower and fixtures.

The State King Suite
On the 3rd floor, our largest room has an ornate King cast iron bed that is furnished with a memory foam pad to provide ultimate sleeping comfort. Equipped with a CD player, small refrigerator, two comfortable chairs and an ottoman, this room is ideal for a relaxing stay. Suitable for families or individuals who prefer a king room. The bathroom has a large, walk in shower. The desk is in the attached room with two twin beds. In addition to our central air, we have a window air conditioner for added cooling.

The Artist King Room
On the 3rd Floor, this room has a King bed that can be separated to make two extra-long twins. A cot can be added for an additional person.
