Circa 1878. The inn has temporarily suspended operations. They look forward to serving you in the future. A prominent local architect built this historic Italianate home, which is listed in the National Register. The brick exterior is decked with goldenrod trim with scarlet accents. Guest rooms are decorated with antiques. Two rooms include a whirlpool tub, one has a clawfoot tub and the other offers a large soaking tub. Beds are dressed with fine, hand-ironed linens. The Victorian décor is accentuated by the soft glow of candlelight. Massage service is available, as are honeymoon packages. The library offers a large selection of books and magazines, as well as some antique books .Bountiful buffet breakfasts are served by candlelight and might begin with a baked grapefruit with a chocolate cherry liqueur sauce. From there, guests partake of an asparagus quiche with a side of fresh salsa, potatoes and homemade bread. Lastly, guests are treated to pecan rolls and a plate featuring a selection of the state's famous cheeses.
