Circa 1766. This historic country estate was built by Henry Fry, close friend of Thomas Jefferson who often stopped here on his way to Monticello. The mansion is serenely decorated with elegant antiques and period reproductions, including four-poster beds. Healthy gourmet breakfasts are prepared by Chef Suzie. Enjoy views of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the rockers on the back porches. Ancient formal boxwood gardens, surrounding natural woodlands, meadows, pastures and Robinson River frontage are part of Meander Conservancy, offering educational programs and back-to-nature packages.Location: Country.
