Description

Circa 1883. A mile above sea level sits this historic inn, which first opened as the Lempert Hotel, a stopping point for travelers on the nearby Overland Trail. An owner later used the building for apartments, but current innkeepers Paul and Kathie Woods returned the home into a place for hospitality. Paul and Kathie have restored their bed & breakfast's high ceilings, wood floors and beaded wood ceilings back to their original condition. The interior is furnished with antiques and collectibles. All rooms have a private bath, and the separate Carriage House and Garden Cottage are available in addition to the 11 inn rooms. The grounds offer the serene setting of gardens, quiet courtyards and large covered porches with rocking chairs.Location: Very small town.
