Description
Circa 1890. Ornate, gingerbread trim adorns the exterior of Magnolia Oaks, a charming Eastlake Victorian. A black, iron fence surrounds a yard dotted with gardens, a fountain and many magnolias and oaks. Two rooms include fireplaces, and there is an efficiency, loft apartment. During breakfasts, the host serenades guests with his guitar. The inn is within an hour drive of many attractions, including the Antique Rose Emporium. With prior notice, the innkeepers can arrange for a canoe trip down the Colorado River or create special amenities for those celebrating birthdays, honeymoons or anniversaries.Publicity and Awards: Houston Chronicle, Houston Life Magazine.
