Description
Circa 1921. The State Game Lodge is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. It served as the summer White House for presidents Coolidge and Eisenhower. Although not a bed and breakfast, the lodge boasts a wonderful setting in the Black Hills. Ask for a room in the historic lodge building. (There are cottages and motel units, as well.) A favorite part of the experience is rocking on the front porch while watching buffalo graze. Breakfast is paid for separately in the dining room, where you may wish to order a pheasant or buffalo entree in the evening.Publicity and Awards: Bon Appetit, Midwest Living, Sunset.
