Circa 1855. Architecturally significant, this recently restored inn is listed in the National Register. Named one of's Top 10 Most Romantic Inns in 2002, it is located in an historic residential neighborhood and sits on the country's first gaslit street. Two fireplaces highlight the elegant parlor, where afternoon tea is served. Books and videos are also available there. Well-appointed guest rooms and suites reflect regional themes and events. Encounter period furnishings and fireplaces, with some rooms boasting two-person whirlpool tubs. Ask for the Harborview Spa which includes French doors leading to a rooftop deck with private hot tub and panoramic harbor view. In the parlor, a breakfast buffet begins a delicious meal followed by a hot entree.
