Description

Circa 1872. Aaron Burr hid in this Bucks County house after his infamous duel with Alexander Hamilton. The home also is one of the Wedgwood Collection inns. A Victorian Shingle style, it is in the National Register. Its three stories, including the spacious parlor, are appointed with antiques and reproductions. Guest rooms offer amenities such as private baths, telephones and TVs, and many have two-person whirlpool tubs and fireplaces. Within walking distance are fine restaurants, shops and art galleries. Historic Interest

The stone foundation is c 1720 and served as a Headquarters House for 6 years during the American Revolutionary War. In addition, VP Aaron Burr hid there after his fatal pistol duel with Hamilton in 1804. The ghost of Aaron Burr ( the furtive stare) may still be experienced here...
