Description

Circa 1847. Built in the state's earliest frontier, this hotel is the area's oldest large building and was a welcome improvement over the era's stagecoach inns. Listed in the National Register, extensive renovations have retained its historical integrity while adding modern refinements. The pristine exterior and rooms with tin ceilings reflect yesterday's virtues while an elaborate fire safety system and private bathrooms offer today's comforts. Smoking and non-smoking guest bedrooms feature air conditioning, cable TV and a coffeemaker. Handmade Amish quilts grace many of the beds. Two-room suites include a large sitting room. Dine in the Tavern with an ornate brass and oak bar and a full menu with daily specials and Certified Angus Beef. The Courtyard boasts live entertainment and fresh grilled meats. The elegant Formal Dining Room is perfect to reserve for private banquets or parties.Location: Country.
