Description
Circa 1876. For more than 100 years the Ocean House has welcomed guests. You can't miss it across from the boardwalk. Pale pink with sage green window shutters, a canopied veranda wraps around the outside. The main interior feature is a grand staircase moved from the 1876 Philadelphia Exposition by the home's first owner. Eleven-foot-high ceilings, plaster moldings and antiques continue the Victorian atmosphere. Breakfast, served in either the dining room that is decorated in floral fabrics or on the outside veranda, consists of fresh baked scones and blueberry muffins, French toast, eggs and fruit. The innkeepers can supply you with a bicycle for a fun afternoon exploring the boardwalk and town, or for a more relaxing time, take one of the inn's beach chairs out on the sand.Location: Ocean Community.
