Description
Circa 1769. The former grist mill buildings house an authentically restored Colonial inn, set in the rolling hills of Northwestern New Jersey. Decorated in the Colonial period, many of the rooms feature original wide-board floors, antiques and Oriental rugs. Rooms in the limestone Grist Mill, a building listed in the National Register of Historic Places, boast hand-crafted American primitive reproductions and braided rugs. The inn's restaurant features the original millrace room, complete with running water. A former wheel chamber has a staircase that leads to the Tavern Room with its own walk-in fireplace and grain chute.Location: Country, Mountains and Within historic district.

Historic Interest
The Inn at Millrace Pond consists of several buildings, the most notable the Gristmill dating back to 1769. The Moravians settled here in the early 1700s and assisted in putting Hope, NJ on the map.
