The original house, built in 1893 was purchased by Andrew and Alice Harriman. Andrew built many community buildings in Jackson, including the original part of the Jackson Grammar School and what is now the Historical Society in Jackson. After a long history of hospitality to area workers and relatives, the house was sold to a stock broker who kept it as a second home until the house was purchased by a couple who created the Ellis River House in 1985. It is currently owned by John and Mary Kendzierski (the fourth set of "Inn" owners). It has expanded overtime and now known as the Inn at Ellis River.. Historic Memberships: Local Historical Society.
