Description

Circa 1767. This early Colonial-Victorian inn overlooks three mountains, and all the rooms have views of either the lake or the mountains. Many guest rooms feature handmade quilts and some have four-poster beds featuring Mascioni linens from Italy. Guests may relax with a book from the inn's library in front of the sitting room fireplace or walk the seven-acre grounds and enjoy old apple and maple trees, as well as the shoreline of the lake. Adjacent to a 21-acre nature conservancy, there are scenic trails and a stream to explore. Highland Lake is stocked with bass and also has trout. Policies

Minimum Stay Requirements: Two-night minimum on most summer weekends, as well as holiday and event weekends throughout the year.
Cancellation: One night's lodging deposit is required to confirm your reservation. Acceptance of your reservation is made with the understanding you will be responsible for the entire period reserved. Deposit must be received within one week of making reservation. Deposit is applied to last day of stay. Balance due is payable on arrival. Deposit will be applied to a new date if cancellation is received four weeks prior to arrival date. Reservations made within four weeks of arrival date shall be considered non-cancelable and will be charged to the customer's card. Reservations made with credit cards shall be considered non-cancelable and will be charged to the customer's card. Deposit will be forfeited if arrival is after the date specified or if you leave early and this results in a loss to the Inn. Deposits for Motorcycle Week, NASCAR racing as well as School Graduation and Parents Weekend are full payment - non refundable. Minimal stay requirements may apply to certain weekends and special event periods. If cancellation of the reservation is necessary, the non-refundable deposit payment will be returned if the reserved room is resold.
