Description
Circa 1649. Valentine Hill, a 17th-century entrepreneur, was responsible for building this inn. Not surprisingly, the 1649 inn is listed in the National Register. After passing from owner to owner, the historic gem fell into disrepair, but fortunately has been restored to its former state. Most of the rooms include a fireplace. Although the inn is among the nation's most historic buildings, there are modern amenities to be found, including Jacuzzi tubs, data ports and fax services. If all the history isn't enough, the inn affords views of Oyster River and Little Bay. A traditional menu, featuring local items, is offered at the inn's restaurant.Location: Country.
