Description
Circa 1923. With its Colonial Revival architecture, this inn stands out among the area's homes and is one of the oldest in town. Rooms are decorated with period antiques and beds are dressed with luxurious linens and down duvets. Breakfast is a three-course affair. One might start off with freshly ground coffee, freshly squeezed juice and a poached pear in raspberry sauce. From there, home-baked breads or muffins are served, capped off by items such as a puff-pastry basket filled with herbed scrambled eggs with shrimp, pea-pods and mushrooms. The inn is less than half an hour from Glacier National Park and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Guests may borrow bicycles for a trip around town or to nearby Whitefish Lake. The ski shuttle stop is a block from the house.Location: Mountains.
