Description
Circa 1875. This historic inn is filled with elegantly carved furnishings, paintings and collections that are original to the house. Wilbur Sanders, an attorney and a Montana senator and his wife Harriet, built their home in the heart of Helena. The three-story house features a front and side porch, and balconies and bay windows that provide views of the mountains and downtown Helena. In addition to the rich interior and hospitality, guests are pampered with gourmet breakfasts that might include items such as an orange souffle, sourdough or huckleberry pancakes, French toast with sauteed fruit or savory frittatas. The main dish is accompanied by fresh fruit, juice, freshly ground organically grown coffee and an assortment of homemade muffins, coffee cakes or breads.Publicity and Awards: National Geographic Traveler, Country Travels, Pacific Northwest, Washington Post, Boston Globe, New York Times.Location: City/Urban and Historic downtown 3 blocks.
