Description
Circa 1827. This Greek Revival house features both Victorian baroque and colonial antiques. A collection of British coronation memorabilia displayed throughout the inn includes 200 items. Guests gather in the Victorian parlor or the formal library. The innkeepers, two college librarians and an academic bookseller, lined the shelves with several thousand volumes, including extensive Civil War and British royal family collections and travel, theater and nautical books. The floor-to-ceiling windows of the Eliza Hitchcock Room overlook the Damariscotta River.
