Description

Circa 1910. This three-story red brick mansion boasts twelve fireplaces built of a variety of materials including marble, granite and copper. A massive glassed-in porch overlooks the inn's creek, which flows to Lake Superior a few blocks away. In addition to a gas fireplace, five suites offer a Jacuzzi tub and a brass, canopy or four-poster bed. The inn features beautifully preserved woodwork, a carved staircase and polished wood floors. There's a baby grand piano in the living room. Breakfast is brought to your room, and it is usually eaten fireside.
