Description

Circa 1902. As the name suggests, this gracious Victorian is surrounded by woods. A large wraparound porch, gables, and leaded-glass windows add to the appeal. There are hardwood floors and each guest room features antiques, wing chairs and queen-size beds. Two suites offer a Jacuzzi and fireplace. Another room boasts a gas fireplace and a unique hand-painted mural that transforms the room into a canopied tree-top loft. A breakfast of delicious coffees or teas and homemade treats can be enjoyed either in the dining room or on the porch. The outdoor heated pool features a hand-painted mural of a sunken Greek ship embedded in a coral reef and surrounded by schools of fish. The eastern shore of Lake Michigan is only a half block away.Publicity and Awards: TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for 2015 and 2016.
