Description

Circa 1835. A wealthy landowner built this creole plantation house, located in the heart of the historic downtown. Its 10-foot-high double French doors open into the front and rear galleries that are just steps away from a cypress covered brick patio with a fireplace. The host, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and Cape Kennedy Missile Program, is an adept blacksmith artisan and creates F.P. Tools and carriage lamps. The inn's hostess is an interior designer with a love of history. Both have combined their talents to create a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Refreshments are served on the gallery in the afternoon. A full Southern-style gourmet breakfast is offered every morning. Buggy rides are available seasonally by reservation. The inn is available for weddings, receptions, brunches, meetings and luncheons. The B&B is close to shopping, restaurants and False River. Listed in the National Register of Historic Places.Publicity and Awards: Country Roads, Country Victoria.Location: small town.
