Circa 1830. This Greek Italianate home is said to have been used to aid the Underground Railroad. A light in the attic told Rev. John Rankin, a dedicated abolitionist, that it was safe to transport slaves to freedom. Located within a 55-acre historical district, guests can take a glance back in time, exploring museums and antique shops. Twelve-foot ceilings with ornate plaster-work grace the parlor, and guests can sit on any of three porches anticipating paddlewheelers traversing the Ohio River.Publicity and Awards: Cincinnati Enquirer, Ohio Columbus Dispatch, Ohio Off the Beaten Path, Cincinnati Magazine, Cincinnati Post, Dayton Daily News, Ohio Magazine, Cleveland Plain Dealer, Maysville Ledger Independent, Particular Places II, Channel 12, WKRC- "One Tank Trip", Husband's first car in "Lost in Yonkers.".Location: Waterfront.
