Description

Circa 1885. This gabled and turreted confection offers three stories of lavish antique furnishings, carved woodwork and at least 40 original stained-glass windows. The inn is in the Hall Street Historic District, known as "Mansion Hill". All the homes in this area are listed in the National Register. The fireplace in the inn's foyer has boasted a bronze of Shakespeare for more than 100 years and with this as a starting point, the innkeeper has created a Victorian, Shakespearean theme. Two of the inn's room offer whirlpools.
