Circa 1877. Archer House is a stunning historic hotel, featuring impressive French Second Empire architecture. The hotel has been serving guests for more than a century, and the most recent restorations including rebuilding the front portico, constructed by looking at old pictures of the hotel. It was at this bank that infamous Jesse James' criminal career came to an abrupt halt; his robbery attempt thwarted by local townsfolk.
