Description
Circa 1865. This three-story Victorian house, complete with gabled roofs, a turret and veranda, is in the National Trust. Its location is historic Haddonfield, said by Philadelphia Magazine to be the most picturesque village in the Delaware Valley. Handsome heritage homes, fine museums, symphony orchestras, theater and more than 200 shops and restaurants are nearby. Parlors are furnished with antiques and chandeliers, and the guest rooms offer whirlpools and fireplaces, each in the theme of a European country or other culture. Upon arrival, guests are offered snacks and beverages. In the morning, a gourmet breakfast is served before a flickering fireplace in the dining room or on the wraparound veranda overlooking the inn's lawns. For guest convenience, there is an elevator, and the innkeeper provides concierge service. The inn is popular for small meetings and special events.
